Materials Management Support - Materials Management
Orders, receives, stores, and issues stocked supplies, materials and equipment for the facility. Enters receiving transactions into inventory computer system to track items ordered, received, and distributed. Maintains inventory in all designated areas of Pioneers Medical Center, however the Surgery Department is a priority for this position. Will cross-train with and back up the Materials Management Inventory Specialist position and the Materials Management Buyer positions.
Maintains the receiving and disbursement for the inventory system, as well as for the Surgery Department, by entering quantity of stock received and distributed/transferred within the computer system. Also physically takes products to the departments. Ensures quantities entered are accurate, verifies stock numbers, sets up new stock items, and inactivates items as needed. Enters receivables and disbursements into the system. Maintains and assures that the Materials Management store room and all stocked locations are kept clean, safe, and orderly. Notifies the Senior Buyer when stock/materials/equipment is below par and/or needs to be ordered.
Processes the vendor work orders for the Surgery department, which involves:
1.Setting up the vendor PO
2.Setting up the departmental PO
3.Process the orders, adding new item and/or changing any information necessary to both the Jump & Athena systems.
4.Receive the products and print out charge sheet
5.Send the PO to the vendor
Place vendor PO's for the surgery products.
Point of contact for Surgery's requisitions, wasted products, questions, researching new products/instruments/equipment, pricing and approval process.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Proficient knowledge and usage with personal computers, and Excel program.
Previous Materials Management, Inventory, or Clerical experience preferred.
Work is generally performed in an office or clinical environment in which there is some exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions.
Work requires ability to lift 50 lbs.
Work requires stooping and bending.
Work requires reaching and grasping with arms and hands.
Work requires proofreading and checking document for accuracy.
Work requires using a keyboard to enter or transform words or data.
