Radiologic / Ultrasound Technologist - Radiology
Position Description: The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures at a technical level, which requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. The Ultrasound Technologist provides diagnostic information to referring physicians using ultrasound as a diagnostic tool.
Average Weekly Hours: 32-40 per week
Education: Must have successfully completed a program of formal training in Radiologic Technology in a school which is an accredited educational program for radiologic technologists. Must be ARRT certified. Satisfactory completion of formal ultrasound technology training in an AMA approved Program. ARDMS registered or eligible.
Experience: Previous experience working as a Radiologic / Ultrasound Technologist preferred. Computed Tomography (CT) certification desirable and a plus!
Physical Requirements: Requires sitting, stooping, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving intermittently during working hours. Requires lifting, turning, supporting, and positioning of all types and sizes of patients. Must be able to maneuver and operate a portable x-ray unit in all areas of the facility.
License Required: ARRT Certification. ARDMS Registration. CT Certification desirable and a plus!
Comments: On-call duty is required and shared by all technologists. Late hour or weekend duty is required as part of this rotation. This is a full-time position and eligible for full-time benefits. This position may involve exposure to biochemical and radioactive hazards, and exposure to odors and infectious waste, in particular blood and body fluid substances.
